Engage in four weeks of hands-on acting training at Pinewood Studios, gaining the experience, industry contacts, and tools essential for a successful screen acting career. Collaborate closely with leading Directors, Casting Director, and A-List acting coaches to elevate and refine your skillset.

Week 2
Unlock Performance
Voice, breath, movement, improvisation and emotional truth shaped for screen, not stage. Explore the Meisner Technique for screen.
Week 3
Enter the Industry
Auditions, self-tapes, casting insight and the business of being seen.
Week 4
Film Your Showreel
Two bespoke scenes, professionally directed on a set, applying your training.

Week 1: Master the Camera – Confidence in the Technical
To jumpstart your journey on our Masterclass, you'll delve into the world of screen acting, gaining practical experience in fundamental aspects such as shot sizes, eye line, personal
continuity and hitting marks.
Across the week, you'll engage in hands-on filming sessions and receive constructive feedback from our experienced tutor. This approach ensures ample on-screen time for you to enhance your confidence and deepen your understanding of performing in front of the camera.
Experience role reversal on set – take on different roles to gain firsthand understanding of
each department’s responsibilities.
- Essential technical skills necessary for successful on-camera performance.
- The impact of shot sizes on an actor’s performance and how to navigate them effectively.

Week 2: Unlock Authentic Performances – Voice, Movement & Improvisation
Struggle to stay fresh across multiple takes? Learn how top actors maintain authenticity and depth.
Through script analysis, improvisation, and vocal/physical exercises, you'll master techniques to create captivating, genuine performances—no matter the genre or complexity.

The week will start with intensive work on connecting with who you are, script analysis,
improvisation, and vocal/physical exercises—equipping you with the techniques to deliver
captivating authentic performances across any genre or level of complexity.
Having built confidence on camera, we will arm you with the skills required to achieve a
convincing performance and deliver it fresh with every take.
Tackling a range of scripts, you will develop your own method to analysing text, supported
by vocal and physical exercises to aid relaxation on a film set and release required emotions.
Teaching the Meisner technique for screen acting focuses on cultivating authentic, instinctive
responses and truthful emotional behaviour in front of the camera. Actors train to "live
truthfully under imaginary circumstances" through repetition exercises, emotional
preparation, and improvisation grounded in the reality of the moment. In a screen acting
context, instruction emphasises subtlety, internalised reactions, and micro-expressions,
ensuring performances remain natural on close-up shots while maintaining the spontaneity
and emotional truth central to Meisner work. Scene work is adapted to film and TV,
highlighting the importance of listening, reacting, and sustaining organic connection with
scene partners within the technical constraints of camera angles and blocking.

Week 3: Break Into the Industry – UK TV & The Business of Acting

Learn self-tape secrets, audition techniques from casting directors, and build a professional profile designed to get you noticed by agents and industry decision-makers.
