Engage in four weeks of hands-on acting training at Pinewood Studios, gaining the experience, industry contacts, and tools essential for a successful screen acting career. Collaborate closely with leading Directors, Casting Director, and A-List acting coaches to elevate and refine your skillset.

Master the Camera
Shot sizes, marks, continuity, eye-lines and the technical confidence actors need on a working set.
Week 2
Unlock Performance
Voice, breath, movement, improvisation and emotional truth shaped for screen, not stage. Explore the Meisner Technique for screen.
Week 3
Enter the Industry
Auditions, self-tapes, casting insight and the business of being seen.
Week 4
Film Your Showreel
Two bespoke scenes, professionally directed on a set, applying your training.

Week 1: Master the Camera – Confidence in the Technical
To jumpstart your journey on our Masterclass, you'll delve into the world of screen acting, gaining practical experience in fundamental aspects such as shot sizes, eye line, personal
continuity and hitting marks.
Across the week, you'll engage in hands-on filming sessions and receive constructive feedback from our experienced tutor. This approach ensures ample on-screen time for you to enhance your confidence and deepen your understanding of performing in front of the camera.
Experience role reversal on set – take on different roles to gain firsthand understanding of
each department’s responsibilities.
- Essential technical skills necessary for successful on-camera performance.
- The impact of shot sizes on an actor’s performance and how to navigate them effectively.
- Building comfort and confidence in front of the camera.
- Adapting and refining your performance to suit the specific shot requirements.
- Considering spatial awareness in relation to the camera lens.
- Eye-lines in close-up.
- Start to build layers to your performance.
- Apply consistency in performance between shots.
- How to accurately hit marks on set.

Week 2: Unlock Authentic Performances – Voice, Movement & Improvisation
The week combines script analysis, improvisation, and vocal and physical exercises to help you connect with your character and deliver authentic, confident performances on camera. Working across a range of scripts, you’ll develop your own approach to text, learn techniques to relax on set, access emotion, and deliver a fresh, convincing performance with every take.
The Meisner technique for screen acting develops authentic, instinctive responses and truthful emotional behaviour on camera. Through repetition, emotional preparation and improvisation, actors learn to respond naturally in the moment. Screen work focuses on subtle reactions and micro-expressions, with scene work adapted to the technical demands of film and TV, including listening, connection, blocking and camera awareness.

A workshop focused on the actor-director relationship, building on-camera confidence, mastering self-taping, working with a casting director, and developing the skills and strategies to make a lasting impression.
