Actors Studio cannot make any exceptions to its Terms and Conditions. The Terms and Conditions are in place to ensure fairness and consistency for all customers.

By proceeding with a booking at Actors Studio, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are in place to protect all parties involved:

  1. Actors Studio website actorsstudio.co.uk is owned and operated by Actors Studio.
  2. As a customer making a booking, you acknowledge that Actors Studio has the right to undertake any necessary actions deemed essential to plan for your booking. This may include acquiring additional equipment, restructuring the service delivery, or changing tutors to accommodate your booking.
  3. You understand and agree that the cancellation and transfer policies outlined in these terms and conditions are fair, reasonable, and reflect the circumstances at the time of your booking.
  4. As all our Acting Tutors/Directors/Casting Directors are actively engaged professionals in the industry, it’s possible for the advertised Tutor to change unexpectedly. In the rare event that an advertised Tutor becomes unavailable, you will be notified and a suitable replacement will step in.
 

Please note that these terms and conditions are subject to change, and it is advisable to review them periodically to stay informed about any updates.

ACTORS STUDIO LTD, is a credit broker, not a lender. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (firm reference number: 1050571). We do not provide financial advice but offer credit products from Humm Group Limited (FRN: 954478), a lender authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not charge customers a fee or earn a commission for our credit broking services. Details of our regulated credit products are clearly explained on our website. Credit is subject to age, status, and affordability. Borrowing more than you can afford or paying late may affect your financial status and ability to obtain credit. You are not obligated to use the lender we suggest. You are free at any time to explore and secure financing independently, and it is possible that you may find a better offer elsewhere.

Masterclass in Screen Acting

How to Book

To book the 4 Week Masterclass in Screen Acting at Actors Studio, please follow these steps:

  1. Book through the website: Go to the Actors Studio website at www.actorsstudio.co.uk.
  2. Make the Payment: Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Actors Studio cannot reserve a place without payment.
  3. Eligibility and Attendance: The course is suitable for individuals aged 17 and above, catering to both beginners who want to discover their potential and experienced performers looking to refresh their skills. It is important to note that attendance is mandatory for the duration of the course to receive the diploma certificate upon completion. Non-attendance will result in the cancellation of your place without any refund or transfer offered.
  4. Actors Studio training is recognised by Spotlight.

Options To Pay

Option 1: Full Payment: You can choose to pay the full course fee at the time of booking.

Option 2: Two-Part Payment.  If you prefer, you have the option to pay in two parts. The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before the start date of the course. Failure to make the balance payment by the specified deadline will result in the cancellation of your booking, with no refund for the deposit.

Option 3: You can apply to pay for your course through finance with our finance provider, Humm Finance. Please note that you must have a UK address in order to be eligible to apply for this finance option.

Paypal’s Buy Now Pay Later Option Actors Studio offers the option of using Paypal’s Buy Now Pay Later feature, allowing you to make interest-free payments in three installments. For further details and specific information on how to utilise this payment option, please refer to the Actors Studio website.

Important Note: Please be aware that the course fee does not cover accommodation or meals. Students are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and meals during the course.

Course Cancellation

Actors Studio does not offer full refunds for cancellations. Where applicable, customers may be eligible for a partial refund in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. Here are the specific details on cancelling the Masterclass:

  1. Partial Refund Eligibility: To be eligible for a partial refund, you must submit a cancellation request at least 30 days before the start date of the Masterclass Diploma Course you are booked on.
  2. Partial Refund Amount: If your cancellation request meets the 30-day requirement, Actors Studio will provide a partial refund of £500.
  3. Refusal of Refund Requests: Actors Studio will refuse any refund requests if you cancel your booking less than 30 days before the course commences, during the course itself, or if you fail to attend.
  4. One-time Transfer: You are allowed to transfer your booking once. Once you have requested the transfer, you are no longer eligible for any refund, and you cannot transfer your booking again under any circumstances.
 

To initiate a cancellation, you must first contact Actors Studio by sending an email to info@actorsstudio.co.uk.

Please keep in mind that Actors Studio’s refund policy for the Masterclass Diploma Course only allows for partial refunds.

Transferring Your booking

Actors Studio provides the option to transfer your booking for the 4 Week Masterclass Diploma Course under specific conditions. Here are the details regarding the transfer policy:

  1. Transfer Request Timing: You can request to transfer your booking to a future 4 Week Masterclass Diploma Course, but this request must be made at least 30 days before the start date of the course you have initially booked.
  2. One-time Transfer: You are allowed to transfer your booking once. Once you have requested the transfer, you are no longer eligible for any refund, and you cannot transfer your booking again under any circumstances.
  3. Payment of Outstanding Fees: Regardless of whether you attend the course or not, all outstanding fees must be paid in full.
  4. Choosing Future Course Dates: If you request to transfer your booking but are uncertain about which future 4 Week Masterclass Diploma Course you wish to join, you have a period of 3 months from the date of your transfer request to decide. Within this timeframe, you can select an available future course that suits your preference.
  5. Refusal of Transfer Requests:

    Actors Studio will refuse any transfer requests made less than 30 days before the start date of the course originally booked. The only exception will be in cases of illness, where a transfer may be permitted less than 30 days before the course start date upon presentation of a valid doctor’s letter confirming the illness.

To initiate a transfer request, you must contact Actors Studio by sending an email to info@actorsstudio.co.uk to complete the transfer process.

Please note that these transfer policies apply specifically to the 4 Week Masterclass Diploma Course at Actors Studio.

Shot To Be Seen: 1 Year Course

How to Book

To book the 1 Year Course at Actors Studio, please follow these steps:

  1. Book through the website: Go to the Actors Studio website at www.actorsstudio.co.uk.
  2. Make the Payment: Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Actors Studio cannot reserve a place without payment.
  3. Eligibility and Attendance: The course is suitable for individuals aged 17 and above, catering to both beginners who want to discover their potential and experienced performers looking to refresh their skills. The total cost of the course is paid in full.

Option 2: Deposit

A deposit of secures your place on the course. 

Followed by a payment plan option.

The remaining balance is due 60 days before the course starts.

Those who pay the deposit can opt to split the remaining balance. Further breakdowns are available upon request.

Option 3: Finance

You can apply to pay for your course through finance with our finance provider, Humm Finance. Please note that you must have a UK address in order to be eligible to apply for this finance option.

Course Cancellation

If cancellation is received:

More than 60 days before the course start date: Partial refund of 50% of amount paid.

Less than 60 days before the course start date: No refund will be issued.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Please keep in mind that Actors Studio’s refund policy for the 1 Year Shot to Be Seen Course only allows for partial refunds.

Participant Responsibilities

Participants are responsible for attending all scheduled classes and completing assigned coursework outside of lessons, which may include learning scripts, character preparation or private research utilising online resources. Any missed classes or coursework deadlines are the responsibility of the participant and may affect their progress and certification.

If a participant fails to make the required payments according to the agreed schedule, the following steps may be taken:

  • Reminder Notices: The participant will be sent reminder notices via email or mail to inform them of the outstanding payments.
  • Late Payment Charges: A late payment fee may be applied for payments not made by the specified due dates. This will be calculated on 10% of the amount outstanding.
  • Suspension of Services: If payments remain outstanding for an extended period beyond the due dates, the participant’s access to course materials, classes, or other services may be suspended until the outstanding balance is settled.

 

It’s important to communicate openly and promptly if there are any difficulties in meeting payment obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, we may be willing to discuss alternative payment arrangements or solutions to resolve the issue and help maintain your training schedule.

How to Book

Age Suitability: The courses mentioned are suitable for individuals aged 17 and above.

Payment: Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. Actors Studio does not reserve places without payment.
Actors Studio training is recognised by Spotlight.
When booking, ensure that you provide accurate information and carefully review any additional terms and conditions associated with the specific course/workshop you are booking.

Options To Pay

Option 1: Full Payment: You can choose to pay the full course/workshop fee at the time of booking. Prices are stated on the website.

Option 2: Paypal’s Buy Now Pay Later Option Actors Studio offers the option of using Paypal’s Buy Now Pay Later feature, allowing you to make interest-free payments in three installments. Note: Lock, Load, Act: 5 Day Firearms Training: You may pay a deposit to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due no later than 30 days before the course commences.

Course Cancellation

Actors Studio does not offer full refunds for course or workshop cancellations. Where a cancellation is made the maximum refund available is 50% of the course/workshop fees paid.

  1. Partial Refund Eligibility: To be eligible for a partial refund, you must submit a cancellation request at least 14 days before the start date of the course/workshop you have booked.
  2. Partial Refund Amount: If your cancellation request meets the 14-day requirement, Actors Studio will provide a partial refund of 50% of the course fees paid.
  3. Refusal of Refund Requests: Actors Studio will refuse any refund requests if you cancel your booking less than 14 days before the course/workshop commences or if you do not attend.
  4. The same applies to the Lock, Load, Act: 5 Day Firearms Training, but on a 30-day term.
  5.  If you have previously transferred your booking, no refund will be available if you subsequently cancel your booking.
  6. Cancellation Process: To initiate a cancellation, you must contact Actors Studio by emailing info@actorsstudio.co.uk.
 

It is important to familiarise yourself with the specific refund policy for your booked course/workshop and follow the provided instructions for cancellations.

 

Transferring Your booking

  1. Transfer Request Timing: You must submit a transfer request no later than 7 days before the start date of your course.
  2. Availability and Alternative Options: If the same course is not available for the requested transfer, Actors Studio will offer an appropriate alternative course for you to transfer to.
  3. Transfer Limitations: You can only transfer your booking once. Once you have requested a transfer, you are no longer eligible for any partial refund, and further transfers will not be permitted under any circumstances.
  4. Outstanding Fees: Regardless of whether you attend the course or not, all outstanding fees must be paid in full.
  5. Choosing a Future Course: If you request to transfer your booking but are undecided about which future course you want to join, you have a period of 3 months from the date of the transfer request to make your decision.
  6. Transfer Request Deadline: Any transfer requests made less than 7 days before the course commences will be refused. Actors Studio will refuse any transfer requests made less than 30 days before the start date of the course originally booked. The only exception will be in cases of illness, where a transfer may be permitted less than 7 days before the course start date upon presentation of a valid doctor’s letter confirming the illness.

To book the Rising Star Bespoke Showreel Package, Scene Partners or Spotlight Scenes with Actors Studio:

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your Rising Star Bespoke Showreel Package, Scene Partners or Spotlight Scenes .
  • The filming for Bespoke Showreels takes place at or near Actors Studio, Main Admin, Pinewood Studios, Pinewood Road, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, SL0 0NH.

Options To Pay

If you wish to cancel your Rising Star Bespoke Showreel Package, Scene Partners or Spotlight Scenes, you must contact Actors Studio by sending an email to info@actorsstudio.co.uk to request the cancellation.

Please consider this policy carefully before booking the Rising Star Bespoke Showreel Package, Scene Partners or Spotlight Scenes  as Actors Studio does not provide refunds in the event that you cancel. If you have any further questions or need clarification, please reach out to Actors Studio directly.

If You Need To change Your Day of Filming

  1. If you have already confirmed your filming day for The Rising Star Bespoke Showreel Package, Scene Partners or Spotlight Scenes with Actors Studio but wish to reschedule it, you have the option to do so for a fee of £120. However, please note that certain conditions apply:

    1. Rescheduling Request: You must submit your request to change your filming day at least 7 days prior to your original scheduled filming day.
    2. Rescheduling Fee: There is a charge of £120 to cover the time and cost involved in rearranging your filming day. This fee is payable in order to proceed with the rescheduling.
    3. One-Time Transfer: You are allowed to transfer your shoot day only once. After the rescheduling has been completed, no further changes or transfers will be permitted.
    4. Late Requests: Requests to change the filming day within 7 days of your scheduled date will be refused, and full payment for the original booking will still be required.
     

    To initiate the process of rescheduling your filming day, you must contact Actors Studio on info@actorsstudio.co.uk to ensure proper communication and documentation.

    Please keep in mind that rescheduling your filming day incurs a fee and should be done within the specified timeframe.

Other Information

Spotlight Recognition

The training provided by Actors Studio is recognised by Spotlight. Spotlight is a well-known and reputable platform for actors and industry professionals.

To be eligible to apply for Spotlight, Actors Studio operates an internal 500-point curriculum system.
Please note: this point system is an independent training framework developed by Actors Studio and is not a formal requirement set by Spotlight.
Students are required to accumulate 500 points through participation in our courses in order to complete the training pathway required to support a Spotlight membership application. Each course is assigned a specific point value, and courses may be repeated to build additional credits.
Once 500 points have been achieved, students will have completed the training track required to submit their Spotlight application.

Spotlight membership offers various benefits, including increased visibility within the industry, access to casting opportunities, and networking possibilities. It is a valuable resource for actors seeking professional opportunities and connections.

Visas for International Students

For our courses 6 months or less you can apply for a Standard Visitor Visa or Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). We are able to provide the necessary documents to support your visa application.

Please note that Actors Studio is not a licensed visa sponsor and cannot provide a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number required for a UK student visa application for courses longer than 6 months.

Our standard terms and conditions apply to cancellations resulting from visa application rejections.

If you require a visa to study in the UK, we strongly advise you to check your eligibility with your local immigration service before booking your course. Attendance & Punctuality

Students are expected to attend every scheduled class and arrive on time.

Tutors reserve the right to refuse entry to any student who arrives late if doing so would disrupt the class.

Regular lateness or repeated absences may result in a student’s place on the course being cancelled without a refund.

Absences should only occur in exceptional circumstances. If you are unable to attend a class, please notify us as soon as possible by email at info@actorsstudio.co.uk.

Student Conduct and Professional Behaviour

All students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner at all times. Any abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards members of the Actors Studio team, tutors, or fellow students, or any conduct that may bring Actors Studio into disrepute, may result in the immediate cancellation of the student's place on the course without refund.

Illness

If you become unwell shortly before your course or workshop is due to start, we are unable to provide a refund, in accordance with our standard Booking Terms and Conditions.

If you become unwell while attending training with us, we will consider each situation individually and, where possible, endeavour to accommodate any missed training. Unfortunately, refunds will not be available.

Where a student is unable to attend due to illness and provides an official doctor’s letter confirming the illness, we will endeavour to reschedule their booking onto a future course, subject to availability. Rescheduling is offered at our discretion and is not guaranteed.

Showreel Material

We send showreels via online file sharing.

We charge £10.00 to resend showreels. We only keep showreels on our systems for three months after they are edited before they are permanently deleted. It is the responsibility of our customers to securely download their showreel or notify Actors Studio via info@actorsstudio.co.uk of failed delivery.
We are unable to supply the raw footage/rushes from showreel shoots.
We do not release any showreels to the customer unless all fees have been paid in full.

Visting Pinewood Studios

When attending courses held at Pinewood Studios, you agree to follow any instructions given by studio staff and to read all safety information provided to you upon arrival. To enter Pinewood Studios, you are required to show Photographic Identification through the form of a Driving Licence, Passport or other official documents that verify you with a photograph.
