Introduction

Designed for children and teenagers eager to enhance their skills on stage and screen Lights, Camera, Action gives a chance to film a scene and learn how movies are made at Pinewood Studios. Join us at Actors Studio for our weekend crash course, tailored for budding actors aged 11 to 16. Under the guidance of experienced actor and acting coach Paul Lockwood, children will delve into the nuances of stage and screen performances, cultivating a diverse skill set to deliver authentic and compelling performances. Our program, Lights Camera Action, expands young actors’ skill sets through engaging sessions covering acting techniques, devising short scenes, script analysis, audition strategies, and both screen and stage acting. Participants will also develop essential listening and reacting skills, empowering them to excel in their acting endeavors.

Course Outline

At our studio, young actors thrive in a collaborative environment, where they learn the importance of giving and receiving constructive criticism and feedback to enhance their skills. Our course fosters not only acting proficiency but also instills confidence, encourages social interaction, nurtures creativity, and, above all, ensures a fun experience within a secure and supportive setting. As a highlight, children will have the opportunity to film scenes, and each participant will receive an edited digital version of their performance, providing a tangible outcome of their hard work and growth.
