What Happens On The Course?

This is a focused, practical training experience at the World Famous Pinewood Studios is designed for actors who want to develop real on-camera skill and leave with professional, usable material for their showreel. Over five days, you will work closely with experienced screen directors to develop your performance for film and television. Training covers essential on-camera technique, including script analysis, character development, continuity, eyeline, shot awareness, and performance for camera. Rather than general exercises, everything is applied directly to screen work—helping you understand exactly how your performance translates on camera in a professional filming environment.

To be eligible to apply for Spotlight, Actors Studio operates an internal 500-point curriculum system.
Please note: this point system is an independent training framework developed by Actors Studio and is not a formal requirement set by Spotlight.
Students are required to accumulate 500 points through participation in our courses in order to complete the training pathway required to support a Spotlight membership application. Each course is assigned a specific point value, and courses may be repeated to build additional credits.
Once 500 points have been achieved, students will have completed the training track required to submit their Spotlight application.
