Midway through the week, Carolyn and Sue, our expert tutors, will collaborate to assign scenes from screenplays for you to immerse yourself in, filming each performance for thorough self-assessment—an essential step in grasping the actor’s process. In the culminating two days, Sue will delve into the intricacies of character depth, emphasising the vitality of embodying the inner life of your character to evoke tension and conflict within the scene. Together, we’ll uncover the profound truth that mastery of dialogue is just the beginning; it’s the layers beneath the surface that truly enrich a performance, captivating the camera and audience alike.

Throughout the intensive five-day program, you’ll delve into the significance of subtext and its harmonious interplay with the written word. Through meticulous analysis and breakdowns, we’ll draw from your life experiences, knowledge, and external influences to infuse authenticity into every scene, allowing genuine thoughts and emotions to resonate within your character.
