Acting For Camera
The course aims to teach you how to deliver natural and engaging performances specifically tailored for the camera. This includes understanding the technical aspects of acting on screen, such as framing, shot composition, and working with the camera.
Technical Screen Craft
This aspect of the course focuses on the technical skills necessary for acting on screen. It may include topics such as hitting marks, understanding different camera angles, using eyelines effectively, and adapting performances for different shot sizes.
Immersive Performance Techniques
The course will introduce immersive acting techniques that allow you to fully embody your characters and create authentic performances. This involves exercises in emotional connection, sensory awareness, and physicality.
Rehearsal Methods
You will learn practical rehearsal techniques to prepare for your scenes. Rehearsals are crucial for you  to explore your characters, develop emotional depth, and build chemistry with your scene partners.
As per the Film & TV industry, you will have time to rehearse and discuss your showreel scenes. Having been cast in two scenes, Leon will lead you and your scene partners from the group through the scene to build a performance and blocking ensuring it’s ready for camera.
Leon will apply the same techniques he uses on British TV Drama with professional actors, giving you insight into the workflow required to succeed on these shows.
You will step onto set with our professional crew and film your first scene Directed by Leon Lopez. You will experience how a professional set operates and apply new skills on camera as you’re guided through the performance.
The final day of the course will complete the showreel filming with your second scene. In addition to filming your scene, you will have a chance to observe others on set to gain true familiarity with the different departments, securing confidence for when you land your next job.
