Following on from the Level 1 Film and TV, Level 2 is designed to build on the foundational screen acting techniques you’ve already learned on Level 1, helping you create more nuanced and refined performances on camera.

Session 2: Exploring Character Through Scenes

- Work on scenes to deepen character exploration.

- Focus on developing the character’s inner life, motivations, and complexities.
Session 3: Bringing the Script to Life
Learning Outcomes
- Begin exploring a script through performance.Â
- Inhabit your role, experiment with dynamics, and uncover deeper layers of character through interaction.
Session 4: Integrating the Work: Full Scene Rehearsal
A full rehearsal of the scenes, incorporating all elements explored so far—character development, improvisation, inner life, and script analysis.Â
Focus on refining your performance, deepening emotional truth, and ensuring a dynamic, authentic portrayal.
Sessions 5 & 6: Filming the Scenes and Analysis
Learning Outcomes
- Shoot your scene, capturing the performance and overall flow.
- Analyse your performance to assess how your characters’ motivations, emotional arcs, and dynamics are coming through.
In this course, you will explore the complexities of performing across various genres, examining the specific demands and nuances each one presents.
You will develop skills to navigate narrative structures and character development, while also honing vocal awareness and learning how to collaborate effectively with directors. Each session will provide you with essential tools to deliver compelling screen performances.
By the end of the course, you will be confident in delivering performances with vocal clarity and assured choices. You will also be equipped to analyse and showcase technical proficiency, demonstrating a clear understanding of the performance requirements of your chosen narrative.
