Mel will look at you, your unique life, your shining eyes on screen and see how you can use your energy within the specifics of the role – so that your work is alive and truthful.

You’ll look at the differences between our essential selves and learnt text. (Everyone will have a solo session on-screen with Mel.)

Filming will continue to finish the first day’s work.

You’ll look at rehearsal techniques and strategies to build a life for screen including breathing work, improvisation, psychological gestures, physical metaphor and Mel’s Elemental  metaphors. Scenes handed out.

You will begin work on scenes learning the principles Mel uses with A-List talent to prepare for a role.

Mel will also give you valuable tips for self-taping to give you the best chances of success when your next audition comes through, incorporated with games to help develop character preparation techniques.

You will film the scenes you have been working on under Mel’s direction, applying new techniques helping bring characters to life on screen.

Your final session will give you a chance to review the scenes you have filmed with direct feedback from Mel.

You will also participate in a review and Q&A session to consolidate your learning from the week.
