Introduction
Shoot a fresh new showreel scene exclusively at Pinewood Studios following 3 sessions of intensive online training with award-winning Film Director Tim Kent. Build your confidence in performance, grasp the technical requirements of a screen actor and breakdown the structures of performing a scene with other actors via Zoom under the guidance of Tim.
These unique online training sessions will arm you with the skills required to deliver a credible cinematic performance and give you confidence when stepping onto set with the crew.
Tim Kent is a multi-award winning director with over 25 years experience working at the forefront of the British film industry. After running a successful talent agency in London’s West-End for 12 years, representing many household names, in 2008 his focus shifted towards directing and producing films and coaching screen acting.
Course Outline
Covering various genres, Tim will guide you through the process of working with a script and how to make it work for the camera. In addition, actors will be led through a series of Actors Studio exercises to encourage emotional freedom within the group. Online sessions are interactive, so participants are required to have a webcam and microphone
Working closely with the Director, participants will be given scenes suited to strength and natural performance, where they will gain an understanding of rehearsal techniques used in the industry.
You will be required for a private filming session scheduled between 8:30am and 6pm to film your scene. This will give you an opportunity to put your new skills into practice.
This course is ideal for emerging and professional actors looking for to add a new scene to their acting showreel.

Tuesday 5th March 2024 – 6pm – 9pm UK Time – Zoom
Transform into a skilled and confident screen actor. Together, we’ll explore the secrets of how to think like a screen actor and truly shine on camera. By watching clips from the best Film & TV productions, you’ll learn how to identify what works and what doesn’t.
With guidance from Director Tim, you’ll gain hands-on experience performing a short script and applying your new skills.

Tuesday 12th March 2024 – 6pm – 9pm UK Time – Zoom
It’s time to showcase your talents! Join us for an exciting casting, read-through, script analysis workshop where you can learn and grow to find new depths within your character.
Under Tim’s guidance and working with fellow actors, you’ll build characters from the ground up.
Day 3
Tuesday 19th March 2024 – 6pm-9pm UK Time – Zoom
Having been cast in scenes the week before and given time to continue developing your characters, session three will be a chance to rehearse your scenes off book and discuss choices and blocking to be used on set.
This session will arm you with the tools a successful screen actor needs to bring to set so you’re ready to deliver your best performance on camera.

Tuesday 26th March 2024 – 9am to 5pm Filming at Pinewood Studios
Film a fresh cinematic scene at Pinewood Studios under Tim’s direction with a professional crew. Cast in a scene to play on your strengths, you will apply your new skills in a practical environment and receive an edited version cut in your favour.
