But behind every impressive physique is a dedicated trainer, and for Craig, that man is Simon Waterson. Renowned for his ability to whip actors into shape for demanding roles, Waterson’s techniques are as legendary as the transformations they yield.
Simon has taught the likes of Tom Hiddleston, Bryce Dallas Howard, Pierce Brosnan, Sophie Marceau and Denise Richards to prepare them mentally and physically for some of the most demanding roles in film.
Students of our Masterclass in Screen Acting received a seminar from Simon in his bespoke gym where they gained insight into how they can look after themselves and make simple changes to prepare for a role. Simon discussed nutrition, daily exercises and unique methods he has applied on films such as No Time To Die and Jurassic World. Students walked away feeling motivated and encouraged to introduce even the most simple levels of fitness into their character preparation.
