We are thrilled to share some incredible news from the Actors Studio community: three of our recent students from the Tactical Firearms course have been cast in the upcoming third season of the BBC’s gripping drama, The Capture.

Currently filming across the UK, The Capture has quickly become a benchmark for high-stakes, politically-charged storytelling. With Holliday Grainger reprising her role as DCI Rachel Carey and a stellar supporting cast including Indira Varma and Ron Perlman, the series continues to push boundaries in both plot and performance. Season 3 introduces fresh faces like Killian Scott, Joe Dempsie, and Andrew Buchan—and now, our very own trained actors will be joining them.

Even more exciting? These actors were cast while attending the course. Their skills were fresh, their instincts sharp, and our team had the privilege of seeing their potential in real time. It is a testament to the power of immersive training and the opportunities that can arise when preparation meets the right moment.

Why does this matter? Because booking a show like The Capture is not just about talent—it is about preparation. The Tactical Firearms course at Actors Studio is designed to give you both. It equips actors with the practical skills needed to handle weapons safely and convincingly, while also sharpening their ability to deliver emotionally grounded performances under extreme narrative pressure.

Our approach blends military precision with creative nuance. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, actors learn not only how to move, load, and fire, but also how to stay in character when the stakes are high and the camera is close. It is about making every moment believable—and bookable.

For the actors cast in The Capture, this training proved to be a game-changer. Their commitment to honing both technical and emotional aspects of their craft gave them the edge needed to land roles in one of the BBC’s most talked-about dramas.

We believe that screen acting at the highest level demands more than instinct; it demands discipline, specificity, and courage. That is exactly what our Tactical Firearms course delivers.

If you are ready to elevate your screen presence and open doors to productions that require authenticity under pressure, consider joining our next Tactical Firearms course. Who knows where it might lead you?
