This June, our one-year course students at Actors Studio swapped rehearsal rooms for red carpets as they stepped into the heart of London’s film industry scene at the renowned Raindance Film Festival.

Casting Director Carla Stronge, a three-time Primetime Emmy winner known for her work on iconic series such as Game of Thrones and The Fall hosted a seminar. Carla shared behind-the-scenes insights into the casting process, offering practical tips and frank advice on what makes an audition tape memorable. Our students came away with a renewed understanding of what it takes to get cast in major international productions.
Students also attended the UK premiere of The Academy, a powerful and thought-provoking film about an art student navigating the competitive world of an art academy. The premiere was followed by a Q&A with the lead actress Maja Bons, a young actress giving inspiration to the audience on how quickly your acting career can progress.
The evening rounded off with a gala party that gave our students the chance to network with filmmakers, producers, and other actors. Red carpet photos were taken, conversations flowed, and a few dance moves might have made an appearance too. These are the moments where aspiring actors shift from students to professionals-in-the-making.
If you are looking to train seriously as an actor while stepping into the industry with confidence, the Actors Studio one-year course might be the right next step for you.
