Not everybody can abandon their normal life for five days, never mind four weeks.

The course develops performance and technical skills across five weekly evening sessions before actors move onto a filming environment at Pinewood Studios to film showreel scenes.
There is actually an advantage to spreading training out.
An intensive course immerses you completely, but weekly acting classes give you several days between sessions to process feedback, learn material and notice the habits you are trying to change. For some actors, particularly those who like time to digest notes rather than immediately going again, that rhythm works extremely well.

This is not really comparable with dropping into an acting workshop. It is designed for actors looking for a structured professional training pathway over 12 months.
The programme combines weekday evening sessions online with regular in-person weekend training at Pinewood Studios. Across the year, actors develop screen performance, script analysis, voice, physicality, audition technique and professional skills while filming material as their training progresses. The programme culminates in the production of a professionally crewed short film, with students taking leading roles. Professional headshots and showreel material also form part of the wider programme.
The biggest advantage of a year is progression. Anyone can have an excellent acting class. The more difficult challenge is making improvements stick.
Over 12 months there is time to develop a technique, test it, fall back into old habits, be corrected and try again. Tutors also get to know your work rather than assessing you from a single scene completed on a single afternoon. There is absolutely no reason your first acting course needs to involve handing over several thousand pounds and reorganising your life. If you are completely new to screen acting, starting smaller can be the more sensible decision.
The Screen Acting for Beginners workshop runs over two days at Pinewood Studios and introduces actors to script work, character, basic screen technique and the process of performing a filmed scene.

What Should You Look for in a Screen Acting Course?
Whichever acting school you choose, there are a few things worth checking before booking.
A screen acting course should involve a substantial amount of actual work in front of a camera. Talking about screen acting and doing it are very different things.
You should also look carefully at who is teaching you. Experience within the current film and television industry matters because screen production continues to change, from the way auditions are conducted to the expectations placed on actors arriving on set.
