Actors Studio is delighted to share that we’re teaming up with Camelot Films to bring a 5-day Screen & Showreel Acting Course to Malta — a collaboration that’s been quietly in the works and one we’re genuinely excited about given the continued growth of production in the region.
Camelot Films, based in Malta, has become a key player in the island’s fast-growing film landscape. Their work spans internationally recognised projects, and their team has collaborated with talent such as John Hannah, Tom Payne, Sara Martins, and Tamer Hassan. Their slate includes the award-winning feature Winter Ridge, the Malta-shot mystery Seven Keys, and several upcoming productions that continue to draw attention to Malta as a serious filmmaking destination.
Working with a company of this calibre means actors on the course won’t simply be learning scenes; they’ll be stepping into an environment shaped by working filmmakers — people who understand the nuances of performance, story, and the technical craft behind the camera.
Across five intensive days, actors will train directly for screen: exploring how to adapt performance for different shot types, build truthful connection on camera, and work with direction in a professional setting. The week culminates in a cinematically produced showreel scene, shot with leading Directors Tim Kent and Nathan Caselton.

Malta itself becomes part of the creative canvas. Its mix of Mediterranean light, dramatic architecture, and expanding film infrastructure makes it an inspiring place to train — and an increasingly relevant one for actors looking to work internationally.
This collaboration brings together training, production expertise, and the opportunity to create meaningful on-screen material. It’s a chance for actors to develop their craft, gain real set experience, and leave with a showreel scene shaped by professionals who work at a high level.
