The Chubbuck Technique builds on ancient and contemporary methods in addition to the latest developments in psychology, anthropology and behavioural science. Actors including Brad Pitt, Jake Gyllenhaal and Charlize Theron have formed careers using this technique, and now we’re offering developing actors a chance to learn and apply it first hand with actress and accredited coach Christina Chong.
Christina Chong is an international television and film actress who’s career includes leading in the new Paramount+ Series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, BBC’s Line of Duty and films such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She’s one of the few accredited Chubbuck Technique coaches in Europe.

Course Outline
On this intensive 5 Day Course you will learn the principles of the Chubbuck Technique, applying it to monologues and duologues whilst combining your new found performance skills with the technical aspects required of a screen actor. Christina Chong is an international television and film actress who’s career includes leading in the new Paramount+ Series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, BBC’s Line of Duty and films such as Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
This course is designed for both training and professional actors ages 17 yrs +. Due to the intensive nature of the training, students will be required to have read Ivana Chubbuck’s book ‘Power of the Actor’ before class in order to come best prepared and receive the most effective training. You will learn using new techniques how to create a character that is vivid, authentic and living and breathing in the moment. The Chubbuck Technique is a way to realise and embody a character so that the character becomes you, and you become the character.
